What is a Service Learning Project?
Experiential education that responds to real-life community problems – you learn while providing a service to the community.
What will I do during the Service Learning Project?
Students will work with a project supervisor to research a health or community issue, then design and execute a project to improve it.
Who can participate?
UAMS students who have just completed the M1 year and are in good standing in the COM.
When does the program take place?
June and July of each year.
How many spots are available?
Five students are accepted. This number may vary depending on available funding.
Is there a stipend?
Yes, students receive $1,000 for the four-week period.
