Rachel is a licensed clinical social worker who earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Southern Arkansas University and her Master of Social Work from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2007.
At the UAMS Health Family Medical Center in Fort Smith, Rachel provides individual counseling services using the primary care behavioral health model, a brief, solution-focused approach to care. She works with patients experiencing concerns such as depression, anxiety, sleep difficulties, health and nutrition challenges, and chronic conditions, including diabetes and hypertension.
In addition to caring for patients, Rachel collaborates closely with resident physicians, helping them recognize and address mental health concerns within the primary care setting. She also emphasizes the importance of physician well-being, encouraging residents to develop healthy strategies for managing their own mental health so they can provide the highest quality care to their patients.
Rachel has called the Fort Smith area home for the past 18 years and is the proud mother of two sons. Outside of work, she prioritizes her own well-being through fitness, nature walks, and spending quality time with her family.
