Sam Stringfellow, DO

Medical School - NYIT

I was born and raised in Little Rock, AR. My first interest in medicine developed at the age of 13, I had two surgeries due to a scoliosis and a Chiari malformation diagnosis. During what was a scary time, the physicians that treated me made me feel safe and heard. Additionally, after I took an honors biology course, I was immediately drawn to how the human body works. After high school, I graduated with a Bachelors in Psychology from Harding University and married my high school sweetheart. I proceeded to work as a nurse technician at Primecare in Conway, AR. It was there that I became passionate about pursuing a career in family medicine. I thoroughly enjoyed being able to form relationships with the patients, as well as the staff. In 2016, I had the honor of being selected as a member of the inaugural class of NYIT-COM at A-State. In 2020, after graduating medical school, I was able to join the UAMS FM Northeast program. My wife and I love the close-knit community of Jonesboro and have enjoyed being a part of it of these past four years. Outside of work, I enjoy watching movies, listening to music, hunting, playing guitar, and spending quality time with my family and friends. My wife and I also have a Cavapoo named Winston, who we enjoy taking to the park. I look forward to my future endeavors with the UAMS FM Northeast program and am blessed to be a part of this program!
