Rachel Goodwin, M.D.

Medical School - UAMS

I was born and raised in small town Arkansas, graduating from Stuttgart High School. I then went to the University of Central Arkansas where I received a bachelor’s degree in Biology/Pre-Med and a minor in Interdisciplinary Studies. For medical school, I went to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. I knew before I started med school that I wanted to practice primary care in a rural part of the state, leading me to falling in love with UAMS Northeast Family Medicine Residency Program. Since moving to Jonesboro, my husband, David, and I have loved living in this community while I hone my skills to become a well-rounded family medicine physician. We enjoy our free time by participating in trivia/game nights with my fellow residents and being apart of multiple small groups in the community. Weekends and vacations are spent outdoors at one of the many rivers or lakes that Arkansas has to offer, attending sporting events, and traveling across the country, and world.
