Student Ambassador Program

The Student Ambassador Program at UAMS provides undergraduate medical students an opportunity to serve on workgroups that affect the lives of Arkansans in medically underserved areas throughout our state. In 2021-2022, Student Ambassadors have the choice to serve on one of four groups, including New Senior Electives, the Mentor Program, the new UAMS Student Journal, and HBCU & Multicultural Inclusion.

Connecting with physicians, students, and decision-makers throughout the state, Student Ambassadors have the unique opportunity to network between and among undergraduate medical groups, including the Family Medicine Interest Group, the Rural Medical Students Leadership Association, and members of the Honors Program in Rural & Underserved Primary Care Medicine.
