Residency at a Glance – Southwest

We invite you to take a look at Texarkana. We work in a hospital that was selected as one of the Top 100 Hospitals in America. We get the opportunity to care for patients in one of the busiest ERs. Our inpatient medicine service is one of the most demanding and rewarding anywhere. Pediatrics, thanks to the very busy outpatient clinic affiliated and attached to our residency, gives our residents tremendous learning experiences. Sports medicine, care for the aged, and emergency care are also strong at our residency.

But in the end, it is all about people. People and relationships make the world go ‘round and they are what make our residency program what it is today. The nurses, residents, dedicated faculty, and all the other individuals that work with the residents are what is important. Without them, it would be just another residency program. Take some time and come to the Four State Area and get to know us.
