Residency at a Glance – South

As the only accredited rural training program in Arkansas, our program offers a unique experience. We are looking for applicants who truly want to make a difference in our community and embrace the “small town” feel.

An unopposed program with a total of nine family medicine residents, we believe our small size lends itself to more one-on-one interaction with faculty and hands-on learning experiences for our residents.

Our community partner hospital, Magnolia Regional Medical Center, a 49-bed acute care facility, is the only hospital within a 45-mile radius of our program. While we are a rural program, we ensure that our residents gain experience with larger hospitals through rotations in Texarkana, El Dorado, and Little Rock. Our residents receive a well-rounded education in primary care, acute care, OB, population health, and chronic conditions.

We hope you will consider Magnolia, a unique college town with beautiful scenery, a diverse population, and close-knit neighborhoods. Our team looks forward to meeting you!
